In 2023, after 3 years of fully online editions, we returned to a hybrid formula. The first stage - the qualifications - was held online in June. For the finals, which this year took place in October in Wrocław, 10 teams from different parts of the world came to play it out. The competition, in addition to a record number of ER Champ contributors, was accompanied by the public, cheering on the finalists.

Qualifications to the competition were held in the form of an online game. In 2023, 1,692 participants competed for a pass to the finals. This was the most international edition in the history of our Championships. Teams from countries such as the USA, Japan, Canada, France, Bulgaria, Italy and Germany competed against each other. The game prepared by the Program Team proved challenging but fair, and the top 10 teams received an invitation to the live finals in Wrocław.
The ER Champ 2023 final was a landmark for us. It was the first time of the games that we organized such a large event together with streaming, which allowed viewers from all over the world to follow the competition of the finalists. The teams that showed up in Wroclaw faced two 20-minute scenarios. All this took place in an amazing space - Wrocław's Hydropolis, the museum of water. Escape rooms proved to be a big challenge - only two teams managed to fully solve one of them.

Getting out of an escape pod that crashed into the surface of an alien planet is just the beginning.... You have no contact with the base, you are stuck with each other.
After a look around your surroundings, you come to the conclusion that the only salvation for you is to get to a mysterious outpost hidden behind a technologically complex entrance. However, there is a chance that inside you will meet the unfriendly inhabitants of this planet.
You are driven by extreme emotions. What if the base is abandoned and you will be safe inside?
Despite your fears, you decide to get inside. First, however, you must work out the strange panel system at the entrance. The oxygen in your supplies is rapidly dwindling.... You must hurry!
In 2023, we were able to fulfill the dream of returning to the live in-person finals format. We organized an event where the best teams from around the world compete for the title of World Champions. On June 24, 2023, at 16 UTC, the online qualification stage of the ER Champ 2023 took place. The top 10 teams will face each other in the fight for the world championship on October 7 in Poznań (Poland).

Players are tasked with extracting two energy cores that are hidden inside a specially designed vault.
The scenario tests perceptiveness and spatial thinking skills. Players must first open the specially built cubicle to proceed to solve a series of puzzles that will allow them to extract the cores and complete the mission.

The players' task is to calibrate the 4 pedestals located in the teleportation chamber - this will allow them to get the coordinates of Earth and safely teleport back home.
This scenario tests cooperation and the ability to manage time and space. Players solve 4 seemingly independent pedestals, which, however, come together over time and require cooperation.
