About this edition
As in previous years, the competition consisted of three stages: internet eliminations, local eliminations, and the finale. Compared to previous editions, however, they had modified formulas.
The first stage requiring players to go through the plot in the shortest possible time, told the story of Henryk - a corpo employee who is getting married and, as part of a bachelor party, has to overcome several tasks prepared by his colleagues. Many teams from outside Poland, including Japan, took part in this part of the championship. One of the Japanese teams not only advanced to the second stage but also took part in it by flying to Poland.
The local eliminations took place in Poznań in the Malta shopping mall, where each team had to go through the same scenario (instead of several in different cities). The elimination game was based on the plot of the movie "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" (which sponsored the event), and selected 14 teams that were given the chance to win the title of Polish Champions. The creator of the room, based on the ideas of the organizers, was the Mysterious Room company from Łódź (which is now also stationed in Warsaw). The rooms were situated in the hall of the shopping mall, and after this stage was completed, non-contestants and fans could also play there.
The semi-finals and finale of the competition took place in Warsaw. The semi-final games were located at the headquarters of the Black Cat company - the teams were supposed to face off in two rooms that were built specifically for the competition. The first was a Hospital Bed, and the second was The Vault. Both plots were story-related, letting the players become the members of The A Team.
The three teams that did the best with these rooms played in the "Stara Szafa" room at the Świat Zagadek headquarters. At the time, the room has not been officially open yet.
