Play Fair or Go Home: Disqualification Rules
The ER Champ Qualifications are this Saturday! Review the essential fair play rules to protect your team from disqualification, and join Olga and Paweł for our official pre-game livestream.
The countdown is almost over. This Saturday, puzzle solvers from around the globe will log in to face the ultimate test of teamwork and deduction. While we want everyone to have an unforgettable and thrilling experience, maintaining a fair, competitive environment for all participants is our priority.
Before you step onto the digital grid, it is crucial to understand the boundaries. A single breach of the competition guidelines can lead to disqualification for your entire team.
Keep It Fair: What to Avoid
We want everyone to have a fantastic time, but we also need to keep the competition fair for all the teams participating globally. Our monitoring tools will be running in the background, so please make sure your team steers clear of these game-breakers to keep your hard-earned spot on the leaderboard:
- No AI or Chatbots: We want to see your brainpower in action! Please leave ChatGPT, AI image analyzers, and other generative AI tools out of the game.
- No Automated Solvers: Do not use software designed to crack puzzles for you. This includes OCR (text recognition), image analyzers, code-cracking tools, or pattern solvers.
- No Spoilers (Giving or Taking): Don't share hints, solutions, or game mechanics with other teams, and please don't ask them for help either.
- No Scripts or Macros: No auto-clickers, bots, or automated scripts allowed. Every click, drag, and action should come directly from you.
- One Player, One Account: Stick to your own account, and only use one. Sharing accounts with others or creating multiple profiles for yourself breaks the rules.
- Don't Brute Force: Puzzles are meant to be solved with logic, not by blindly guessing passwords hundreds of times. A little trial and error is totally fine, but as a rule of thumb, if you're guessing a code more than 24 times without a solid theory, it's time to rethink your strategy!
You can find the complete details in the official ER Champ Championship Regulations.
