Every year, teams from all over the world gather to prove one thing: who deserves the title of World Escape Room Champion.
ER Champ 2026 is back with a brand-new online qualification game, new puzzles, a fresh story inspired by Slavic mythology, and a chance to reach the live finals in Poland.
Whether you are an experienced puzzle hunter, an escape room enthusiast, or simply a group of friends looking for an unforgettable challenge — this is your opportunity to step into the Championship.
What Is ER Champ?
ER Champ (World Escape Room Championship) is an international escape room competition where teams compete to achieve the best score by solving puzzle rooms and mystery games.
The Championship combines:
- escape room logic,
- online puzzle-solving,
- teamwork,
- storytelling,
- and competitive speedrunning.
The online qualifications are designed as full-scale point-and-click puzzle adventures with story, atmosphere, and original mechanics — not just a collection of riddles.
The 10 fastest teams will qualify for the live finals in Poland, where specially built physical escape rooms will continue the story started during qualifications.
When Do Qualifications Start?
The ER Champ 2026 qualifications will take place on:
June 20, 2026
Start time: 16:00 UTC
All teams start at exactly the same time. From the moment the qualifications begin, teams will have:
- 4 official hours to complete the game,
- solve puzzles as quickly as possible,
- and secure a place in the global ranking.
Only teams that finish within the official time limit will be considered in the final classification.
Important: fight until the very end
The 10 fastest teams will qualify for the finals. However, if one of the qualified teams declines or cannot travel to Poland, additional teams from the ranking may receive an invitation. Even if you are not currently in the Top 10, every minute can matter.
How Do You Join the Championship?
Joining ER Champ is completely free. To participate, you only need to:
- Create an account on erchamp.com,
- Create a team,
- Invite your teammates,
- Start playing when the qualifications begin.
We strongly recommend completing registration and team creation at least 48 hours before the start of the competition.
Team Rules - What You Need to Know
Team size
A team must consist of:
- minimum 2 players,
- maximum 4 players.
Solo play is not allowed.
Most important needs
Every player needs:
- their own ER Champ account,
- their own computer,
- stable internet access.
Team composition is final
Your team must be complete before the Championship starts. Once qualifications begin:
- you cannot add new players,
- you cannot replace players,
- and if your team qualifies for the finals, you must compete with the exact same roster.
Player changes after qualifications are not possible.
Underage participants
Players under 18 years old are welcome to participate. However, teams with underage players must send parental/legal guardian consent no later than 24 hours before the competition starts.
What Will the Qualifications Look Like?
Each year, ER Champ features a brand-new qualification game designed specifically for the Championship. The qualifications are played online as a point-and-click puzzle adventure filled with puzzles, hidden clues, logic challenges, and story-driven gameplay.
This Year’s Story: Slavic Gods and Demons
ER Champ 2026 will take players into a mysterious Slavic settlement inspired by mythology, ancient beliefs, and dark folklore. During the game, teams will encounter gods, demons, and forgotten legends while uncovering the secrets hidden within the world of the Championship.
The live finals in Poland will continue the story introduced during qualifications.

What Happens After Qualifications?
The 10 best teams in the world will advance to the ER Champ 2026 Finals in Poland.
The final stage will feature:
- specially designed physical escape rooms,
- live competition,
- continuation of the qualification story,
- and direct battles between the world’s best teams.
The exact date and location of the finals will be announced soon.
