New Technologies at the ER Champ Finals
Cutting-edge livestream tools, modular construction, and real-time room management bring a new era of innovation to the ER Champ Finals.
A New Kind of Livestream Experience
The 2025 Finals take the World Escape Room Championship into a new technological era. For the first time, viewers can fully control how they follow the event. A dedicated player on the ER Champ website allows audiences to switch between Room 1, Room 2, and the main livestream, offering multiple perspectives and the freedom to focus on whichever part of the competition they prefer.
The broadcast will be available not only on YouTube but also, for the first time, on Twitch, extending the event’s reach to puzzle and escape room fans around the world. Behind the scenes, the technical side of the livestream is handled by Tutek Live, whose production expertise makes this interactive format possible.
This year also introduces a completely new camera setup. Hidden cameras placed inside the escape rooms capture the players’ actions from unique angles, while the main cameras are mounted on the walls and above the rooms. This design means there are no production crew members inside the rooms during gameplay, providing teams with more freedom of movement and allowing for an uninterrupted play.

WonderWallz: Modular Construction for Creative Freedom
The 2025 Finals were built using WonderWallz, a new modular wall system designed specifically for escape rooms. These walls redefine how competition spaces can be constructed. Their modular design allows for flexible arrangement, easy assembly, and effortless servicing - an approach that not only speeds up construction but also enables a complete room to be relocated without permanent modifications.
Each wall consists of lightweight, customizable panels that can be adapted to the theme of any puzzle environment. Hidden framework structures provide convenient access to electronic systems, significantly reducing maintenance time. Thanks to this, the rooms used in the Finals could be equipped with complex mechanics and integrated lighting systems without compromising aesthetics or functionality.
The use of WonderWallz made it possible to create two distinct, fully equipped escape rooms within the venue while maintaining the visual and structural quality of permanent installations. It is a technological step that combines practicality with immersion, setting a new benchmark for competition design.
Real-Time Game Management System
Another major innovation of this year’s Finals lies behind the scenes. In collaboration with Funky Monkeys, co-organizer of ER Champ 2025, the rooms were equipped with an advanced game management system. This system enables organizers to monitor each game’s progress in real time - including which puzzle teams are currently solving, whether the room setup is correct, and whether all electronic components function as intended.
This level of insight ensures not only smooth gameplay but also quick technical response whenever necessary. Combined with the new in-room camera setup without operators inside, it allows the production team to oversee every detail remotely and maintain optimal game flow.
The integration of these technologies - from live audience interactivity to modular design and system monitoring - highlights a shift in how the Finals are both experienced and produced. The ER Champ 2025 Finals stand as a showcase of what modern technology can bring to the world of competitive escape room design.
