The Ghosts of Dalloway Manor

With the ER Champ 2025 qualifications just around the corner, it's time to reveal our hand. Meet the residents of Dalloway Manor—eager to make your acquaintance!
Meet the Dalloway Manor residents
Since it's hard to focus on the story during the actual game, we decided to share more about it now. First, we told you how Howard and Lily ended up at Dalloway Manor, and today, we want to introduce you to the inhabitants of this haunted estate.
Ready? So, welcome to Dalloway eternal Manor!
Vito Cartwright
A brilliant inventor in life, Vito was the mind behind the manor’s once-revolutionary steam machine. Commissioned by Sir Jacob himself, Vito brought electricity to Dalloway before it was fashionable - powering glowing lights, bubbling thermal bathtubs, and many more ⚙️
He doesn’t quite remember how - or why - he became a ghost. One day he simply… phased out. Now semi-transparent and wholly resigned to his spectral fate, he drifts among the dusty pipes and quiet gears of his forgotten invention.
Mr. and Mrs. Couchman
Pavel and Olga were the power couple back in the day, working side by side during the golden years of Dalloway Manor. Their knowledge of the estate was second only to that of Lord Blackthorn himself — Olga knew every nook, cranny, and secret passage (which, of course, totally never existed!), while Pavel could tell you exactly what was about to break… and fix it in under fifteen minutes.
Madam Veronica
Veronica is an eccentric aristocrat and the most flamboyant guest of the Dalloway ball. She didn’t come just to dance – she had a more ghostly goal in mind.
Dalloway Manor has long been said to radiate a mysterious, powerful energy – and that's exactly why Veronica chose it as the perfect place to conduct her séance. While others twirled in the ballroom, she locked herself away to reach her long-deceased ancestor and uncover the location of a hidden family treasure.
She’s passionate, theatrical, and a true lover of music. But in the silence of the afterlife, no melody has reached her ears in years.
Lord Bartholomew Graves
In the grand ballroom of Dalloway Manor, the ghosts gather for a masquerade. Among them drifts a figure of both status and sorrow: the once-famous Lord Bartholomew Graves. Ironically, Lord Graves detested banquets in life. Yet on the night of the manor’s grand ball, he decided - just this once - to attend. That was his mistake!
Suddenly, the music stopped and the guests began to behave strangely. Bartholomew sensed something was terribly wrong. He tried to escape, but before he could reach the door, the Curse of Dalloway Manor found him.
Sir Thomas Brunoise
Once celebrated by European royalty, Sir Thomas Brunoise was a culinary virtuoso whose dishes delighted the most distinguished palates. His fame earned him not only fortune, but even a noble title.
Enticed by the generous offer of Sir Jacob Blackthorn, Sir Thomas arrived at Dalloway Manor to prepare a grand feast for an extravagant ball. Alas, fate had other plans — the chef never managed to complete his signature dish.
Today, his spirit lingers in the Manor’s kitchens, forever chasing the perfect flavor that eluded him.
Lady Anna Bell Crowley
Lady Anna wasn’t invited to the grand ball out of politeness - she invited herself. Her goal? To steal the legendary Book of Herbal Remedies, said to hold the secret to eternal life. She slipped into the library with a heart full of ambition and left it… well, never.
Now she roams among the bookshelves, glowing with the power of the ancient tome. Immortal, yes. Alive? Not quite.
Marchioness Pauline Blackthorn
Among the many phantoms wandering its halls, Pauline is one of the gentlest. Once the elegant lady of the manor and Lord Jacob’s wife, she vanished from the grand ballroom during that fateful night, escaping the noise and chatter for the peaceful solitude of the greenhouse. And there she was stuck forever.
Ever since, she’s lovingly tended to the plants, keeping them thriving in the heart of Dalloway Manor.
Master Matthew Goldsmith
Matthew Goldsmith was an ambitious door-to-door salesman with a passion for spotless surfaces. When he arrived at the manor, he brought with him a miraculous soap - promising to erase even the most stubborn of stains. Sadly, what he couldn't scrub away was his own destiny.
Just before his grand demonstration, the walls shivered, the lights danced ominously, and a wave of icy water claimed him. Since that day, Matthew has been... stuck in the bathroom, forever whispering cleaning tips and trying to unclog ghostly drains.
Baron Jacob Blackthorn
And finally - The man of the house himself. Determined to transform his estate into the pinnacle of innovation, baron Jacob Blackthorn spared no expense. With the help of the brilliant inventor Vito, he equipped the manor with cutting-edge (for the time) technology.
Yet behind the brilliant, forward-thinking mind was a secretive and enigmatic man, about whom little is truly known. Whispers in nearby villages claimed that Baron Blackthorn dabbled in dark magic. Then came the infamous grand ball that ended in eerie silence. Every guest, along with the baron himself, vanished without a trace. Since that night, rumors of a curse have haunted Dalloway Manor.
