PRAGUE. WHAT TO SEE, HOW TO GET THERE?
Prague is one of Europe's prettiest capitals, so when planning to come to the ER Champ 2024 Finals, consider staying a few days in this city. How to get to Prague, what to visit and what escape rooms to book? How to get around the city and what is worth knowing? What phone apps can prove useful? Find the answers in the article below!
How to get to the Czech Republic?
Getting around in the Czech Republic is not difficult - you can choose many means of transportation to reach this country, such as car, motorcycle, bus, train or plane.
The Czech Republic has 6 international airports, which you can get to from most European countries. From Prague airport (Václav Havel Prague Airport) you can reach the center by bus or taxi.
If you don't like flying or want to get to a city without an airport, you can use long-distance buses or trains.
How to get around cities?
Due to traffic jams, getting around the city by car is not optimal. The main drawback is the problems with parking spaces in the center and paid parking zones, which are not very cheap. At the same time, it is worth knowing that most city parking lots use mobile apps to pay for parking spaces.
A better option is to leave your car on the outskirts of the city, P+R (park and ride) parking lots or in a hotel parking lot and choose public transportation. You can get around Prague by bus, tram or subway. The subway, in particular, is a very fast and convenient way to get around the city - Prague's 3 subway lines will take you to most of the tourist attractions the city is famous for.
The Fun Arena, which will host this year's ER Champ 2024 finals, is located near Florenc station, which is reached by two subway lines - B and C - as well as numerous trams and buses.
What city apps are worth knowing? Getting around Prague
The first app you should know is Citymove, the app you need to pay for parking spaces in Prague. It will also allow you to buy tickets for public transportation and find directions around the city. You can download the app from both the App Store and the Play Store.
Also helpful will be the Google Maps app, with which you can find points of interest in the city, check reviews of attractions, restaurants and cafes, check opening hours and stops in the area.
Another city app for buying tickets and checking public transportation, is PID Lítačka. It too can be downloaded for free from the Play Store and App Store.
What's worth visiting in Prague? City attractions
The origins of the city of Prague date back to the 18th century, but its oldest monuments, such as the famous Charles Bridge, which is a remnant of earlier cities that existed in the area, date back to the mid-14th century! Prague attracts millions of tourists every year and impresses with the beauty of its centuries-old buildings.
There is a lot to see in Prague, but where to start? Here's a list of attractions that we think are worth visiting in November.
Charles Bridge
Although November isn't the warmest month, it's worth taking a warmer sweater and taking a walk on the Charles Bridge. First, the view from the bridge is truly stunning and it's a great place for a photo. Second, the bridge is home to 30 17th-century sculptures depicting saints of the Catholic Church. For an art and history lovers, this is certainly quite a treat. It is said that touching one of the statues - depicting St. John of Nepomuk - brings good luck. We're not suggesting anything, but you might want to plan a trip to Karlův Most on the day before the event.

Hradčany Castle
Walking west on the Charles Bridge you'll get to one of Prague's biggest attractions, the Royal Castle. This monumental structure, listed in the Guinness World Records as the largest castle in the world in terms of area occupied, was for centuries the seat of Czech rulers. The castle itself is older than Prague - its construction began back in the 9th century.

If you enjoy exploring architectural monuments, a combined ticket can take you to most of the paid attractions on Hrad Hill - the Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, the Golden Street and St. Vitus Cathedral. Depending on your choice of attractions and guided or unguided options, the cost of a ticket is 250-700 CZK.
Astronomical Clock and Prague's Old Town
Another attraction worthy of note is the Orloj Clock, which has been showing the time and the position of the heavenly bodies in the sky for more than 600 years. This clock is a real world rarity, so you absolutely must see it with your own eyes. The monument is located in the heart of Prague's market square, full of charming townhouses, museums and cafes. Just walking through the streets near the market is a highlight of this city.
U Pavouka, Medieval Tavern
Looking for something unique? One of our unusual suggestions is... a restaurant. But this is no ordinary place where you will taste traditional cuisine and Czech beer. U Pavouka is an atmospheric tavern that captures the medieval spirit. The smell of wood, beer and wax is in the air from the very entrance. If the amazing interior doesn't impress you, we'd also add that there are daily shows that will transport you back in time to a medieval tavern full of music, dancers, swords and fire, during which you'll eat and drink to your heart's content.
